Why did my crush smile to himself

So basically my I saw my crush walking in front of me he turned around and looked at me twice and then stood next to a bus stand waiting for his bus. I turned around and looked at him as I walked past him and he made eye contact with me for less than one second and looked somewhere else and smiled to himsel, he tried so hard to hold it in.

do you think it’s possible that he could like me by the way he always turns around and looks at me all the time when he’s walking and I’m behind him
