If you've got an interview, you've got an offer.

I also have an interview at Manchester in February but for the life sciences department. Not sure what they're going to ask which really worries me lol.
I'll probs go semi-smart, so like smart-casual.
Hope that helps

Yeah a lot of unis (I had this for bristol, nottingham, manchester, sheffield and leeds- imperial gave me an offer without interview tho!) where the "interview" consisted of a tour around the uni and a chat with someone about the course and a guaranteed place. I wasn't ONCE asked anything specifically sciency, hardest question was "so what interests you about biochem?"

I think they do this just to force potential students to look around the uni, to make sure you'll actually like it there.

For what courses do you have to go to interviews for? I am already at Manchester studying Management and I never went to an interview. In fact this forum here is the first time I ever even heard about there being interviews for admissions.

I went to my interview in trousers and a shirt, but most just wore jeans and a tshirt...

got an interview for maths and management in Jan sometime. No date given as of yet. But 3 people from my school have all had interviews for maths or joint honours math courses and were given offers. apparently it's informal. but I'd still prepare for it as a formal interview because the letters don't state informal. I've been told to read personal statement through as they'll ask you about it, i.e. any books you may have stated, clubs etc.
but everyone thus far has said informal so I don't see a reason for them to change that now.
good luck nevertheless.
