Ive only ever been to Harrods once on the one occasion Ive been to London I was 9 at the time and the only thing I really remember about it is the really heavy revolving doors which flung me halfway across the shop

Harrods is just down the road from me, and IMO it's crap. Really gaudy.

I think its crap, overpriced, snobby and for tourists. Not to mention a bit inconvenient to get to as everything else is in Central London.

Prefer specialist shops rather than those that sell everything, that way I get what I want.

I like it. Except that sometimes they keep puppies there in the pet shop.

They have a really good hand cream. I prefer Harvey Nics.. but Harrods is good too.

i hated harrods, only went there cos my sis wanted a wee thing from there (she ended up with a box of sweets!) a tenner for an ice cream? a fiver for a fruit salad? or how about 35k for a nice bracelet. i think not! Pointed out to the assistant that one of the peices of jewellery was worth the same as my house. The sho p, imo, is highly over rated.

I like the food halls, especially the Krispy Kreme dougnuts. You can also get some nice exotic alcoholic drinks (vodkas etc) which is handy. I don't tend to buy clothes from Harrods... if you want designer stuff, it's probably better to head over to Bond Street etc anyway.
I love selfridges for its food hall..

The best thing about Harrods is when it's lit up at night, Selfridges is much better.

I haven't been to Harrods (not that I remember anyway), but Krispy Kremes are not worth it at all. I tried some in San Francisco (Dec 2003) and they were worse than normal doughnuts. I was rather disappointed, all that fuss for nothing.
