I'm doing CompSci there, they have cancelled/aren't renewing their accreditation from the BCS (no longer industry approved) and their required practical sessions only consist of postgrads who sit and rarely interact with students.. It is even rarer to see a lecturer at these sessions. Additionally, CompSci does not have a dedicated building or any modern facilities, they only use other departments like business in MacRobert.

Will that negatively effect me if I'm planning on going into biotech?

English is so hard to study for, everything else I can focus on. English is sadly next week. Really worried about the exam.

My English exam did not go well, at all... I was late, then I had the worst stomach pains during the whole exam, could hardly focus, was making typos.

I really hope that I get the B I very much need, I worked hard, I tried my best and I'm worried that now I won't get the grades I need for Aberdeen, and there's nothing I want more than to go to Aberdeen. :c

Hi, this is the University of Aberdeen rep account. I'm really sorry to hear about your circumstances and hope that you're feeling better from the stomach pains! At the moment there's every reason to believe you did fine with the amount of preparation you've done and I always feel like you will have done better in exams than you think you have when you leave them. I can understand that not making the grade is a worry though and I just wanted to come in with some advice should your grades not match your conditions.

First off, feeling unwell like that during the exams may be grounds for appealing your results, and so I would encourage you to speak to someone at your school about the process for this and if you can appeal based on that.
Secondly, even if you don't make the grade there is the option of applying to university through Clearing (where universities offer the places they have left after results day with lower entry requirements). It's not recommended to apply to the exact same course you have applied to previously but it's still an option and you could look at getting into a related course. UCAS have some more info about Clearing here: https://www.ucas.com/undergraduate/clearing-and-results-day/
Finally we do have a widening access team who are able to advise on routes into university other than straight from school, such as going through college. They would be happy to advise if you have any questions and you can find their details here: https://www.abdn.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/widening-access.php

Ultimately I wanted to make you aware of these options so you have them in your back pocket and know that there are always other options to pursue to get into university. I would hope these give you a bit of peace of mind and (a lot easier said than done I know) help with not worrying too much about your results over the summer. If you have any questions on what I've said or about Aberdeen in general please let me know as I'd be happy to help answer! Wishing you the best and I hope this was helpful.

Sorry for not updating ya'll but biology went amazing, hopefully not a Dunning Kruger moment. C: Computing is Monday, I kinda didn't study for it because I've been knocked out since I went to hospital in Easter. I'm doing a past paper atm and I'll look at the stuff I get wrong tomorrow.

Today I vomitted and I've been very dizzy

Could always be worse
