Timetable Change- Part Time Student

Hello everyone,

I wanted to reach out and discuss a recent change I noticed in my upcoming semester timetable.

Originally, I was slated to attend university once a week due to my part-time student status. However, upon checking the updated timetable, it appears I am now expected to be on campus three days a week. This shift seems inconsistent with my initial understanding and planning.

I believe there might be a mix-up or misunderstanding regarding my scheduling. If anyone has experienced a similar situation or has insights into how I can address this, I'd greatly appreciate your guidance. I would be happy to take the 2 modules in the next academic year.

Looking forward to any advice or shared experiences.

First thing to do is double-check that your reading of the situation is correct. I would do that before taking things further. Once you have done that, and if it turns out to be the case, then I would suggest contact your Programme Administrator first. They can liaise with tutors. If you can do this ahead of classes starting, then changes can be made with the minumum of disruption.

Hi, It's worth contacting the admin/scheduling team at SOAS and the programme conveners for the module to tell them about the shift in timetable and ensure you're taking the right module and classes on the days that work best for you. Hope this helps!
