Cardiff University vs University of Glasgow

So I've applied to both and there's a good chance I get into both. The two courses I've applied to are: Masters in Software Engineering (with placement year so 2 years) at Cardiff, and Msc in Software Development (1 year) at Glasgow.

I like the modules for both. Cardiff, however, offers a placement year, while Glasgow is higher ranked. Does the difference in ranking make up for the lack of a placement year?

The ranking difference between these two will likely be irrelevant to employers. However, the year of experience you'd gain at Cardiff could well be very interesting to them. (Assuming it's quality, relevant experience.)

Did you apply for the conversion msc at Glasgow? If so would love to chat about your previous experience etc as I also applied and have yet to hear back!
