I personally don’t use this functionality for the most part so I don’t care about it but I’m getting the same issue.

No bookmarks on forum pages :nope:

Easy navigation primarily, especially as bookmarks have been removed from homepage. And instant information on latest posts in (all of) those forums clearly visible in one view. I'm used to there being a limit of 5, so it doesn't affect my experience but others in the past told me they could see 8, 9, 10 watched forums or more on their homepage. @CheeseIsVeg had at least 7-8.

I had about 15 I think (checked - 18)

education debate
Secondary and sixth form
a levels
IB
PS advice
PS helpers
UCAS
Uni Life
architecture
art and design
media and film
Performing arts
BU
AUB
Soton
the grotto (when it was active)
And this forum plus a couple of private forums

some are very quiet - and even when they’re all read I want them to be visible on my tsr just marked as read

I liked that they were ordered by the sort order of the forums - so the layout was consistent. I could see when the latest thread was posted to so didn’t need the sort order changing each time.

I've lost all Watched and Following threads, much as PQ has described above
It’s just weird random threads showing on mytsr watched threads. No relation to what’s watched.
As mentioned we're working on this - I'll pop any updates we have in here tomorrow!
Not sure whether this will help but I'm back on desktop and my laptop had an old mytsr page cached so I was able to grab some screenshots showing my "before" for watched forums/threads
watchedforums.png
watched threads.png
Compared to my "after" for watched topics (which is in theory "working" as in it's at least showing some forums I'm watching):
watchedtopics.png

That spread out, consistently ordered list of forums I'm interested in was my key way of navigating (I'm not interested in chat/lifestyle areas (sorry), and I'm not solely interested in a single subject, study level or university and I don't want to only see unanswered threads from those areas or the most recent - I want to dip into each of those areas directly to see if there's anything I want to post in or just read).

I appreciate I'm not your typical TSR user :ninjagirl: so this sort of setup isn't going to be what 99% of users want - but it's almost like the mirror image of the algorithm feed given to users who are studying specific subjects, at a specific level with an interest in a single university, those of us who are here to help answer questions have pretty broad areas of specialism and need a way to navigate the site to find the questions we can help with. It might be worth thinking about having an option on the old customisation cog questions for people who are here to answer questions that then gives us a different mytsr setup?
....

That is pretty much how I navigate the site too. Not being able to see watched forums (not threads) is the biggest problem for me. If there is activity in a watched thread, I get a notification, but I can't see if there are new Qs in a forum I follow.
Just to keep everyone in the loop on this, we're expecting to release some fixes for the watched widgets early next week, barring any unforseen issues

We've released some changes for this this morning, are you all seeing expected threads in that widget now? :holmes:

I’m not seeing the latest post
IMG_1434.png

what’s being shown here is not the latest post in the news and current affairs forum.

Again i don’t use this feature 98% of the time so I pretty much don’t care about it but yeah.

Edit: as of posting this is the latest post in the N&CA forum: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7427975&page=6#post99058894

Or the race troll might have posted something (which is what I like to see, I want to see the username of the last account that has posted in the forum regardless of what has happened to account or what they’ve done with their posts like you could before, helps to catch trolls/dupes).

Edit 2: feel free to move the second half of my post to somewhere that is more suitable for further discussion if interested.

Edit 3: I liked seeing who was the last person who has posted in the thread that I’m watching like you could before.

To be clear, I'm wondering if the 'threads' side is working for you now?

Definitely strange that the N&CA forum isn't showing the correct thread though - I'll flag it up!

Yes the thread sides is working for me though I’d maybe prefer to see topics first and not discussions (since you can already access this via notifications) when you scroll down to see the tab.

But I rarely use this feature and that’s just me.

Okay great, thanks for confirming you're seeing threads now, that's fab

Nope, still just says I'm up to date, which I'm not.

My watched threads has started to show (intemittently). A new notification seems to give it a kick and it shows a list, but if I click on a thread (not necessarily the most current/new one) and then go back to the homepage, the watched threads area is completely empty and doesnt refresh (get populated) until a new notification comes again.

The back button obviously doesnt work when returning to the homepage, probably due to url redirection going on when you click on the thread from the homepage?

to be clear - are you saying that watched threads is empty when you have no unread posts in watched thread? If so then that is how the watched threads table worked on the old setup (and how it is designed to work - you click through to the full watched threads specific page to see read threads)

No. There are some unread threads, and when it works they populate the Watched Threads area. Clicking on any one of them and looking at it and then returning to the Watched Threads area means they ALL disappear and wont reappear until I get a new notification.

oh that's weird

(I have to be honest - I've noped out of trying to use the homepage for navigating watched threads/topics right now - I'm using watched threads and bookmarks on my profile instead as a workaround - so I've no clue what the "fixed" versions are doing on the homepage anymore  )
@McGinger - following up on your post about losing your watched boards, are you seeing any watched threads/forums on the homepage currently, please?
