Header not always collapsing on mobile to the point where it blocks key content

Sorry for the delay in replying to this one guys! So from what I gather, the header only seems to not be collapsing on the Brave browser.

To confirm, it's expected behaviour that the header collapses to hide the menu, search, buttons etc on desktop and mobile. The behaviour is slightly different on the old tech like the forum pages (these will be moved over to the new tech in time).

Thanks for the video @04MR17, that's really helpful. We can take a look at the sensitivity and see if it can be reduced a bit to stop the header disappearing/reappearing so often.

I think that it doesn’t always collapse/expand properly and consistently on Safari as well but I’m not 100% sure.

I predominantly use ST2 and not react out of habit (and I assume that will be the case for a while until I quit or until the relevant stuff has been imported onto react). So yeah it’s annoying what the header blocks key content such as post cool-down, duplicate post, error replying to thread etc.

Thanks for the response and hopefully this issue can be resolved.

If the header is collapsing to hide the functional buttons then why not make it disappear completely?

Sometimes you just have to wonder at the lack of awareness/stupidity of the replies from the tech team!!!

I suspect the answer is "because we want the advert that you've got blocked to be always visible" - which I understand but it'd be good to have it at least show the burger menu icon next to the advert to give a clue that there's useful buttons up there hiding

By burger menu icon do you mean the TSR logo or something else?

I mean I think that the old system blocked key buttons for on mobile when the header was collapsed but I’m not even supposed to be getting ads on the old system (I can turn off my Adblock and I still won’t get ads on ST2 since the level up). So maybe at the very least for users (VT+ and ex-VT+ and possibly ex-subscribers (but this needs fact-checking)) who aren’t supposed to be getting ads in the first place, the header can disappear seeing as when collapsed, it doesn’t show anything.

Burger menu = the three lines icon that's pretty much universal for "there's a menu under this if you click it" and looks like the worst burger ever

So the 3-striped/lined icon next to the avatar?
Yeah might be useful to have shown, I personally just scroll back up if I need to access the buttons.
