Greaatt!! how was your interview experience? I submitted my application on December 2nd and received an invite two weeks before my interview (on January 20th, last Monday). I got an email afterward saying that my decision is on hold, they’re waiting until after the application deadline to finalize decisions. So, it’s basically a waitlist situation. Curious to hear how things are going for others!

I’m happy with how the interview went. Of course, there’s always room for improvement, but I feel good about my responses and it seemed like the interviewer did too. Still, I’m staying grounded and keeping my fingers crossed.
My status is still marked as "Under review by department - Your application is currently under review." I did ask the course director how long it takes to get a decision and he told me that it would take up to a month for the offer to come through (but I am sure they aim to send out decisions before then).

How are you feeling about the waiting process? Does it stress you out, or are you managing to stay calm about it?

It sounds like your interview went well, and I hope you get good news soon.
To be honest, I feel like it’s not the end of the world if I don’t get offered a place. I’ll definitely be sad, but I’ll move on and maybe try again next year. I like to think that if I don’t get in, it’s because someone else who’s better suited deserves the offer more than me and that’s okay.
I had my interview, and I was really positive about it and about my performance. The interviewer gave me good signs and even suggested communities I could join while on the programme. But then 4 days later I got the email saying my decision is on hold until after the February 25th deadline. So, now it’s just a waiting game. Idk if I will be rejected or offered a place..
How are you feeling about everything? did you experience the same thing?

I really appreciate your perspective and I think you're right—if it doesn’t work out this time, there’s always next year, and someone else who might be a better fit for the program. It's definitely tough to think about, but I like how you’re looking at it in a positive light.
It sounds like your interview went well too! The fact that the interviewer suggested communities to join is a great sign. It’s a bummer that the decision is on hold until after February 25th, though—waiting can be such a drag. I’m in a similar spot, just trying to stay patient and keep a positive mindset while I wait for a final decision. I haven't received any communication about waiting until February 25th though.
Thanks for checking in, and I hope we both get some good news soon! Let’s keep each other updated on how things go. Best of luck with everything!

Thanks for your kind words!! I actually heard back from the office about four days after my interview. They mentioned they want to wait until they’ve interviewed everyone before making final decisions. It’s definitely tough waiting, but I guess it makes sense to give everyone a fair shot.
By the way.. could you please share more about your background? It would be great to learn more about yourbackground and what brought you to this program.. Let’s keep each other posted, fingers crossed for good news for both of us!!!

I come from a background in Electrical and Computer Engineering from one of the top 6 or 7 schools in the US. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with both Microsoft and AWS in the US for about two years each, which has been an amazing experience in terms of both technical growth and exposure to large-scale systems. Before that, I worked at the office of my country's head of the health system (I have some health statistics training), which was an entirely different role but eye-opening in terms of policy and how technology can intersect with healthcare. I’m excited about this program because it brings together my interests in tech and real-world applications, and I’m hopeful for the opportunity to continue building on those experiences. What about you?

Fresh grad, CS, Public Policy and Econ background. Submitted on the Jan 5th deadline, had my interview in less than 2 weeks of that. On hold since. ☹️ Keep us updated though!

Hey.. Don’t worry it’s just a casual conversation with the course director, just be ready to talk about your motivations and goals. Wish you all the best!
Btw.. can you tell us about your application timeline?

So I'm presuming the decisions come out at least 3 weeks from now? ☹️ Best of luck to anyone still interviewing though! Also is it standard for them to always keep all applications on hold, or if they're sure do they just send rejections as soon as they think one application is below their standard?

Thank you! Do you remember one type of question perhaps? Do they ask about supervisors as well? And yes of course - I applied on February 7th, then received interview invite last Friday : March 14th!

I'm not sure but it seems like some people did get offers for example for the MPhil public policy...

Hi, my application is being on hold as well. They do send direct rejection to candidates who do not show a good sustainability in the interview . They also made direct offer to some strong applicants right after the interview. Indeed, from what I heard so far, I think the majority are being put in the on hold pool this year, not sure if they did the same previously. Anyway, this isn’t the end of the game. I guess the door is still open for us!!! Let’s see if any good news comes in the next few weeks. Good luck everybody
