Best websites to create a portfolio?
I'm applying for photography/ fine art photography and multiple unis require a portfolio, I have somewhat of an idea of what should go in it (although I would like some tips please!) but I've struggled on trying to find a good website to create my portfolio on- I tried wix but it irritated me to hell and back. I've also tried googling but it's only given me existing portfolios to take ideas from, and not website creators themselves. Help!

It depends if you want to create a permanent online portfolio presence (that you can build on during your degree and career) or if you’re just looking for somewhere to hold multiple albums for each university portfolio.
For the former then wordpress is worth a look. There’s lots of templates for portfolio websites and you can use tags/themes to curate specific portfolios for specific universities if need be.
Alternatively if you just want a bunch of public albums then something like behance would work. Or tumblr could produce something in between the two (but while with wordpress you can keep your url and migrate it to your own domain later on if you want tumblr and behance wouldn’t work as a professional photography portfolio website)

Thank you for your tips! I just created a tumblr account after doing a little more searching, but I think I might also create a Wordpress and keep the one that works the best for me. I want to be able to keep the account and potentially link a shop to it later on, either during or after university (I'm looking at INPRINT as I want to easily sell prints of my work)
