student contact time at Guildhall School of music and dance
Do any students have experience of GSMD or RCM as undergraduates studying violin? I am particularly interested in the amount of teaching time and ensemble playing.

I feel like my comment is a little out of date considering how long ago this was posted, but I have been looking at the programme spec for the BMus at the Guildhall, and that states that there is 45 hours principal study teaching over the year for bowed strings students.
The RCM I don't know, but if you can find the programme spec it should tell you there.
