Just came in to say a few things and get back to work since I haven’t really updated this week!

My English prelim went okay I guess, I felt like I did better last time when we did the 2 components of the paper separately, but it gives me some insight on what to focus on when revising for exams.

Design prelim wasn’t good 🤧 I think it’s mainly a time management issue - and I need to practice writing more efficiently, but as I looked around a lot of people had the same problem and just ran out of time. I find it weird how I don’t manage to finish the paper in art, but in English I do just fine with time - I thought English was supposed to be harder 😃 ?

Geography assignment tomorrow!! I’m really nervous and kind of procrastinating through tsr🤭 I’m currently in the process of writing the “perfect” write up which is taking a bit long lol

That’s it for now! Tomorrow I’ll update on how the geo assignment went and I’ll get started on memorising my Spanish talk❤️
good luck with your geo assignment!! well done on your prelims today 🤍🤍

The dreaded date of my Spanish talk has finally come haha
Today I took a bit of a break and didn’t do any work after school, since there was a very busy week, I’m giving myself a bit of a break
I haven’t really updated much recently so I’ll try to condense everything here :

Geography Assignment

I’d say the assignment went quite well - I just wish I had more time to prepare as I felt like I kept repeating the same points. My assignment was on population - development between an LEDC and an MEDC, and I just kept waffling about healthcare and such😂 Overall, I think it went quite well and should boost up my marks for the exam 🌏✨

Spanish Talk

Was stressing so much over this and couldn’t get to memorise it. Yesterday I was panicking so much because the more I practiced the more I forgot what to say and I was just spiralling 😂
I managed to keep my nerves under control during the assessment, and the presentation part went pretty smoothly along with my 1st convo with some minor hesitation and mistakes. I fumbled a bit on the second convo - I forgot so many words and was very hesitant. For the surprise question, I was asked if I like museums - and I said they were very interesting, and that I love them ? literally alI could come up with on the spot 😂 in all honesty, it could’ve gone worse - so I think it’s okay. Hoping that the first part saved me 🤞and that my hesitation hasn’t costed me too many marks. I think I’ll get my results back soon for this so I might just reply to this post later on

Oh god throwbacks to gcse Spanish here, I have so many funny stories haha, in one of my speaking practices, my teacher (who was from Argentina so she had a THICK accent so imagine this in a thick latino accent) told me to "stop searching around the room for the answers because they're not there" because I have this thing where when I'm thinking I tend to stare at a wall behind the person I'm talking to or the corner of the ceiling haha! I'm sure you've done really well

Hi everyone  unfortunately no study update today as I have been extremely unproductive :frown:
I made a retrospective timetable inspired by @milktee for maths bc I’ve seriously been slacking off. I’ve avoided maths revision all year so I really need to get going with it if I want to turn that C into an A 🤭

Spoiler

I’m at peak procrastination rn and would appreciate if anyone put some sense into me (in other words, toxic study motivation 😂) because my exams aren’t going to pass themselves! I am hoping to fill out this table with mostly greens by the time my exam comes 😊

omg i'm glad you're starting to use retrospective timetablesss, they really are helpful 🤞🤞
AS YOU SAIDD, YOU'RE THE ONE PASSING THE EXAMS, AND GETTING THOSE STRAIGHT AS, imagine how disappointed you would be in yourself when you don't get the grades you want and you think to yourself 'oh i should've revised more, i should've done more practice papers, i should've done that.' this regret is real bcs i've experienced it and felt it for my mocks, my y10 end of years, and generally most topic tests we have in school, but as long as you try your best, you won't feel that regret even if you don't get exceptional grades. WHAT IM SAYING IS GO REVISE RN SO THAT YOU CAN BE PROUD OF YOURSELF WHEN OPEN THOSE RESULTS ON RESULTS DAY
oops that was a bit long, and i'm acc in my procrastination and unmotivated era too and it kinda motivated me asw lmaooo
good luck 🤍🤍🤍

Thank you guys for the motivation! I am slowly becoming more productive

I’m so scared for exams - 31 days left :afraid: !!
My main priority is maths, since it is my weakest subject. I’ve been trying to revise it for at least 1hr a day for the past week - but who am I kidding, it takes me at least half an hour to understand what is going on 😂
I’ve managed to fill in some of my retrospective maths timetable though, which is incredibly helpful for seeing what I need to review!

For now I’m going to do some geography homework and maybe some bio revision 🤍

It’s been a while haha 🙃 I’ve not been active as I went abroad to see my family for Easter, but I’m ready to get back on the academic grind

Tasks for today:
Maths - eqations and inequations, circle geometry, indices (and scatter graphs if I have time)
Geography - limestone, rivers (and climate change possibly)
Bio - if I have time I will try to get some bio hw done, but I doubt I will get round to it.

Also as a side note, I wanted to mention my Spanish speaking results as I said I would in a previous post  I thought I would have to redo my exam because I forgot so much of my entire talk but turns out I got full marks?! I was so shocked when my teacher told me ahah but I was genuinely so happy !
