Not really just have a little wash, and then have a bath/shower at home

GYMBOSS!!!!! Seriously, I couldn't live without it.

About £15 import from the US at http://www.gymboss.com , DEFINITELY worth it. The customer support is excellent too. When my first one broke I bought a new one the same day, got it a couple days later.

Honestly, all you really need is a small towel and a drink.
As you have just started going to the gym, weightlifting gloves won't be necessary however, wear some appropriate sporting garments.
Agree with most of the above stuff. All I need is drinks bottle, clothes to wear in gym & clothes to change into. Sweat towel (proper towel + shower stuff if you want a shower) and my iPod.

Weight gloves when my hands are sore.
A mini gun

If anyone gets this reference I will marry them :p:
Water bottle, headphones, towel.

Can't think of anything else that I really need. I shower at home after the gym (5min walk away) so don't need to worry about taking extra stuff.

Why the hell do people do this in the UK? I keep seeing people do this all the time, it's disgusting. Just have a proper shower at the gym it takes two minutes... Seriously I keep seeing people at my college gym go to the gym and then when they are done they spray deodorant on themselves and put normal clothes on and go back to class or whatever (obviously they aren't going straight home to shower since they are using tons of deodorant...). I see no problem with staying in your gym clothes and going home in them and shower, but changing into normal clothes which you are going to re-use without washing is disgusting imho.

*Change of casual clothes
*Water
*Sugary Drink (lucozade sport / squash)
*Towel
*Gloves (if you have them)

Wear a sleeve-less top and shorts / cut offs to prevent overheating
