About pre reg

Hi guys I am 3rd year optometry student. I am in a bit of a situation, I had to redo my 2nd year and I am capped to 40%. For pre reg 2:2 is required. And now in my 3rd year exam I have managed to fail again which means I won’t be able to proceed to pre reg year. I am mentally disturbed as I am unsure what should I do. Any feedback is highly appreciated. Thanks guys

I would suggest that you submit an EC or an appeal with your university to allow you to redo the whole of third year again as so to reset every exam as if it were your first attempt. If this is not an option and your course has not moved into the MOptom programme, you could also go on to do the masters which makes your 2nd year worth 25%, your 3rd year 25% and your final year 50%. It does depend on what university you go to. If worst comes to worst, you can apply to a different university and restart the course or apply as an RPL applicant and jump into the second or third year and resume your course (Only Bradford and Teesside would consider this but Bradford would require to you have passed your modules if you want to transfer). I hope it goes well for you.
