Got rejected from the program today. I applied to the fundamental mechanism of disease theme. Good luck to those who have interviews.

I'm not sure. There are 18 places for all tracks. Let's say they allocate 4-5 places per each track. I guess there are at least 20-25 chostlisted candidates for these 4-5 places per each track. Again, it's just a general understanding how many programs select PhDs.

I am still waiting to hear back too... Did you receive an answer by email or on the portal? Since I applied I have not received any email back from the mrc, not even a confirmation email, is it the same for you guys? On the portal it still shows my application as 'submitted' but no other info. Good luck to you all!!

I’m guessing it will be by email. I also never got application submission confirmation, I had to email them to make sure because my referees didn’t receive the reference request when I first submitted, but they said they had received it. Also my status is still submitted on the portal, I’m guessing that if I don’t hear by the end of the day it’s most likely a no or waitlist, but it’s pure speculation at this point lol

I had the same thing, I emailed them to check it was submitted as never got a confirmation email, and they said it had, and I haven’t heard anything since.
