Why do I keep getting 2.1?

More and more of my assessments throughout the year are coming out and I keep getting 2.1. It's driving me mad. I've done consistent hard work, my attendance is 100%, I get extra help from my lecturers and tutors. I can confidently say I left no stone unturned, on my end. I read around 30 books a year around the subject literally just for fun, no one made me do it. I'm doing economics if that helps. If this continues, I'm looking to get a 2.1 overall in my degree.

What percentages are you getting? Are you just scraping into the 2:1 band at 60-61%? Or are you knocking on the door of a First with 68-69%?

Have you received feedback as to how each assignment could be improved? If not, ask for it.

I literally just received another mark and found out I got a first on one of the hardest modules of the degree, which i put so much work in 😭 I'm so emotional now just trying to contain it while headed to a party i'm late for 😭

Hello,

I would recommend you go through the feedback for each assessment given. If you were not provided with detailed feedback, ask for it. Also, it will be really helpful to schedule a meeting with academic support or course lecturers and discuss the areas for improvement based on the feedback given for the assessments. This will be really helpful in refining your approach and achieving better outcomes. Keep pushing hard, and best of luck!

Cheers,
MSc International Business Student.
