Health, Medicine and Society MPhil

Hi everyone,

I am applying to Health, Medicine and Society MPhil at Cambridge this academic year (course start in 2024). I was hoping to talk to some previous or current students and get some advice! I have started writing my statement of purpose, but have noooo idea if I am doing it right. Any advice on writing the statement of purpose or general advice (ie how the course is, how the lecturers are etc) would be much appreciated!
I've also applied! Did you not go for the funding deadline?
Applied as well. Think the the personal statement should focus on your proposed research topic and how you intend to carry it out. Also mention your home subject

Exciting!! Have you got an offer, if you don't mind my asking?

Hey! I'm looking to apply to HMS this year for a 2025 start - how did you find the application? I did an undergrad in social anthropology

Nice! Your background would be well suited since anthropology is one of key home subjects but within the medical lens of course - my tip is to focus your SOP on your dissertation research interest as the interviewer will mostly ask you about that if you get to the stage. Also talk about the interdisciplinary nature of the course as they’ll want to see that you’re interested in the other subjects as well. Best of luck!
I'm looking to apply this course for Michaelmas 2025! Im undergrad in medical sociology. Currently I need someone suggesting what I could possibly improve in my SOP ☹️ and my CGPA is nearly close to 3.7 (3.67/2:1), is still possible to apply although much harder

Hi! Did you apply for the funding deadline? I just applied for the normal deadline and am wondering how long it will take to hear back (either interview or rejection...) Thanks!
