Will doing AI HL lower my chances for Oxbridge?

I’m considering applying to biological NatSci at Cambridge or biochemistry at Oxford. Does doing AI instead of AA HL maths lower my chances?

My understanding is that Oxford accepts both MAA and MAI, both at HL.
Cambridge prefers MAA HL "for the most competitive application" , although it accepts MAI HL for NatSci bio stream, not so for the Physics stream.
I'd be curious to know what you choose and how you get on, as we have a similar decision to take.
