Hey! I am applying for this same course this year. May I ask what the process in the end is like for you?

Hey! Just by coincidence I came back to TSR to look at the BCL/LLM at Oxford, so I managed to see this.

In the end I didn't get the UCL and am now doing the dual with King's and CU. UCL doesn't do an interview whereas King's and Exeter do. Instead UCL makes you write a supplement which is basically what you would have to say in the interview (idk why they can't just interview).

Essentially they'll ask why you want to do the dual degree and why UCL-HKU in particular. I think if you're going to apply for the dual degree, apply to either King's or Exeter as well just because of how competitive UCL-HKU is. I've ended up being the only person doing the dual at King's (but they said they gave 12-15 offers out) so it's worth checking out.

I think as well, don't be worried if you don't hear back from them until the very end. I didn't get my responses from Kings or UCL until 2 weeks before the deadline and I got them on back to back days.

If you haven't sent off UCAS yet and have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask! I might be easier to reach on IG @ekt_0638

hello, I wanted to ask if you applied through hku? if you did - will they message you about getting rejected? I haven't heard anything back from them so I assume I just got rejected and they didn't say anything 😭
