I have never really realise how people are apparently affected by Val-day. O.o

It never bothered me when I was single.
A lot of people are really bitter that it seems that they seem to be ignored every year... they feel somewhat left out, wishing that they had an object of affection that they could be with. Valentines day, behind the commercialisation, is after all a day for couples to really celebrate their love for each other in really romantic ways.

And why am i talking in the 3rd person? I'm one of these people

Surely if its 'real love' youll wanna be with them all the time?
No, people start to annoy me if I'm around them too much. As in all people. I need to spend at least one full day completely alone per week or I go kinda nuts. If it was real love I'd want my space even more, because I'd be scared that it would be ruined by smothering.

Maybe I could manage 5 days a week... and I could find a girl who understands that she has to leave me alone on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Those days are boring anyway.

*tacklehug* shh.

Sure, I'd feel left out a little, but I think some people get a tad obsessed with the notion that single on val-day = failure at life.

I always say to friends, etc, that if you don't have any faith in yourself, don't expect anyone to have it in you either. It's hard to love a person that won't take care of themselves.

So, singletons...spoil yourself on val-day. It'll make you a happier, endorphin hyped, more relaxed person. If only for a day.
This is all very well but has anyone noticed that Val -day is on a monday. Just thinking  could we rename it Vlad - day?

stop feeling sorry for yourself, you act like a cat caught in the rain, that kind of attitude shines through anyones appearance, and you stand no chance

Hmm. I need alcohol to dance when I go out. But I need so much of it that dancing is a very, very bad idea.

Take up smoking. You'd be amazed how many girls will use "can I have a light" as an excuse to start talking to you. And before you say "I don't like girls who smoke" - it doesn't sound like you can afford to be picky mate! (Sorry :p: )

Don't particularly mind it. Not desparate to find somebody, but if somebody comes along I wouldn't say no purely because I'm enjoying the single life.

Testified. Whilst acting like a poor hurt puppy WILL get you attention and sympathy from girls, they'll just want to be your friend and pat you on the head and go "awwwww".

So you're saying that I should settle for someone that has possibly one of the worst habits imaginable? I think not, I'll just have to wait a bit longer.
