Chemistry A-level dipoles temporary dipoles

do temporary dipoles distort the atom, as in would the electron cloud look more disfigured and or expand, or does the electron cloud remain within its own high probability shape?

The electron "cloud" does not have physical reality. It is a statistical probability function.
