hellloooo! okay so i got my degree results yesterday so that's all my conditions met, but idk if i've sent my transcript to the right place? i've sent it to the graduate admissions email address and also an admin email found on the course page (its ran by two departments technically and thats the only contact email I could find?). Do I get a copy of it myself and also upload it to the portal or...? Also, its been a week since I replied to my college with my acceptance and financial declaration but there's been silence. Am I doing this right? I have no clue and I'm just praying that when folk see the emails they'll either be like "yep, this is correct, good job" or "we don't handle this, can you send it here instead". Can someone confirm/deny if i'm in the clear here?

Hi, so I have a quick question. I applied for accommodation at my college pretty early on and got a room in March or April. Beforehand I did actually ask if accepting my college's offer and applying for accommodation would render my ability to be considered for scholarships by other colleges. But reading through the thread makes it seem like this would not be the case. So does anyone have any information about this?

Hi! I sent my transcript to my graduate administrators as well. They'll tell you if you should send it to another address. On thing though, I had my university sending the transcripts, not myself.

For your college you should poke them I think.

Hope this helps!

That's brilliant, thanks. I have until June 30th with my college, so I'll give em a poke in a couple more days.

Hello guys. I am looking for private accommodation as my college, Mansfield, doesnt offer postgrad accommodation. A lot of offers don't include utility bills I just wanted to ask here, do you have any idea of an estimate of utility bills so that I can account for it while making my decision?

Anyone from Australia/Chine? I am looking for flight partners.

Quite a few adverts on spareroom.co.uk give an estimate of the monthly bills. In Oxford I have seen them range from an average of £50 to £120: more in winter, less in summer. That is for a student house where you do not have to pay council tax. If anyone in the house is not a student then the council tax can add £60 to £100 a month. So you need to avoid that.

I'm in st cross, haven't heard anything personally but I'm still waiting for them to confirm my place (they did confirm receipt of my documents though). Don't think I'm eligible for any of their scholarships though from the looks of things so take my experience with a pinch of salt.

Hello! I withdrew my application this Friday since all my funding sources had been exhausted. Now, an external body has confirmed my status and are ready to fund. I have emailed my department and college. I was just wondering if anyone had similar experiences? Are your applications considered after withdrawing once?

Hello there! Anyone on here has experience applying to external funds and could advise me with the following?
In filling up the 'Tell us about your MONTHLY outgoings', there is an option to leave entry as £0.00 'if outgoing is not applicable', but there is no way to explain to them that my situation is a particular one (I'm currently holding a post at my college which allows me to pay for no bills, rent and very little in meals' -- do you think this might put them off?
They also require me to upload a bank statement to see the state of my finances -- obviously the state of my finances is rather grim (we're talking 50 pounds and no savings) -- I wouldn't be applying for fund otherwise. But I'm afraid this might deter the committee, making them think that my situation is hopeless and I'll drop out for lack of funds -- which won't happen, because thanks to the government loan to pay for the majority of tuition fees, plus my current post that covers accomm and meals, plus light part-time work somewhere else which I've just been offered, I'll be able to manage maintenance fees perfectly throughout the 3 years PhD, . But, again, there is no way of getting that across in the application. Any opinions on this enormously welcome!
