Congratulations on your offer of midwifery in September. You'll absolutely love it as a student midwife but it is very hard work over the next three years, getting useless to working Nightshift and weekends if you never have done it before is challenging at first but you get use to it, day shift is generally the most busiest shifts.
Make sure when you are on any placements ( either on maternity unit or doing community placement that you have a pocket notebook in your uniform pocket so you can take down notes about what you have done during each shift you do as these will eventually form part of your coursework essays, assignments and exams over the three years as it allows you to look back.
Delivering your first ever baby is a absolutely special time for you in which you'll never ferget and then reaching your target of minimum of 40 births over the three years.
Good luck and enjoy your journey to becoming a qualified midwife x
UEL holds Open Events for prospective students. This would be a great opportunity for you to speak to current students, Academics and also have a campus tour.
