Unread post icons in forum pages not clear/consistent

Original post by AngryJellyfish
I'm not sure if this comes under 'new thread experience' or not, but it's part of the new colour scheme that came with it, and impacts how I interact with threads: the icons that show whether a thread has unread posts or not aren't at all clear to me.

- This one means I've posted in a thread, and have read the most recent post. I'm up to date with everything, no need to check it. Cool stuff.

- This one means I've posted in a thread, but there are new posts I haven't read yet. It's a different colour, it catches your attention. Brilliant.

- This one means I've not posted in a thread, but there are new posts I haven't read yet... so why is it purple like the first one? I have a quick glance at my watched threads, see there's nothing orange, and think I'm up to date, when there could be 100s of new posts since I last looked.

Here are the old equivalents to the above, to confirm this wasn't the case before:

- Posted and up to date, pale blue.

- Posted and new unread posts, darker blue for attention.

- Haven't posted, but there are new unread posts. Same attention-grabbing darker colour.

To add to this, for threads with polls, it seems to show the same icon (poll.png) whether you've posted in the thread or not, whether you're up to date with any new posts or not, etc. No orange variant, as far as I've seen.
Again, the old poll icon had different forms to differentiate these things (the only example I have quick access to is pollold.png - pencil through it because I've posted in the thread, muted colours because I've read it all... but there were bold variants for unread threads, etc).

The current setup makes it difficult to tell at a quick glance whether I've voted in all the TSR Community Awards threads, for example; I'm used to leaving a 'voted' message in each, partly to bump the threads and increase visibility, but also so that I can easily see from the icons which threads I've already posted in (and by extension voted in) without opening each one individually to check. And I'm potentially missing new posts in each poll thread, because the icon doesn't show up as orange or stand out in any way afterwards.
@AngryJellyfish I moved this into its own thread here and I've let the design team know.
Hey @AngryJellyfish - we've been looking at the icons on forum pages and how to make these clearer, while still keeping the new brand colours. See post above for the proposed new icons.

Are these clearer as to what each icon indicates?
Tagging @Talkative Toad @PQ @Admit-One as I believe you also mentioned this.

Good afternevening! Just to update you, these changes should be live now

Could you let me know if all is looking okay to you now, please? I believe the alignment issues should be resolved too
