physical geography work experience

i'm a year 12 student, and looking to study geology or physical geography at university - i'm looking for work experience in this sector but it's proving really hard to come by, i've even asked at my school and emailed some people on linkedin, but it's been months and it doesnt look like there is anything for me. my last resort would be virtual work experience, but does anyone have any links to a website or contacts that could help me get real life work experience in phys geog? i live in london

You don’t need work experience for academic degrees like geography and geology. Super curricular activities and research into the actual course contents are far more important.

Just look for a placement that you think will be interesting if your sixth form are insisting on a work experience placement.
