Hello, I am nearing the end of this course in Y13. Here are some of the techniques I have found especially useful. Watch course-related videos on youtube in French (with subtitles if necessary). Take notes on key turns of phrase and any useful AO4 cultural points that you didn't know before then once the video is finished write a summary in French, from memory, about its content, relevance and what you have learnt. If you are a bit of a Netflix connoisseur use this to your advantage - put on some French films, most shows have a multi-language function so put French subtitles/ audio over your favourite movies and then at the end do the same thing as above. This will really push your AO4 knowledge and listening and comprehension skills whilst also allowing for fluidity in your writing. Use word reference for any vocab points you are stuck on and grammar wise the conjuguemos website is great and Schaum's French grammar textbook and a comprehensive guide.
My main advice is to constantly expose yourself to the language and culture. Download a French podcast for the drive/ bus to college and sign up to email updates from a French news outlet. Follow some French pages on Instagram (Hugo Decrypte is really good for cultural updates).
Hope this helps and good luck for your mocks! Any further questions feel free to ask.
