How will moving out affect my loan?

I have been living at home for my first year of uni, but I'm looking to move into a house with a group of others, but I'm not sure how exactly this will affect my loan.

Will the amout I get for my maintenance loan change? Is there any chance it'll be less than what I'm currently getting? How exactly does it work?

Hi Jay,

If you are living in your own accommodation and not the parental home then you should be eligible for more funding. How old are you and would this be for the next academic year?

I'm 19 and yes, my academic year ends in May and the house were looking at says we'll be able to move in around July.

Hi Jay,

Then when you submit your application you can advise us that you are changing your living location. As you are under 25 your sponsor(s) will need to support your application and if the household income has not changed then you should get more Maintenance Loan.
