Do you know what? I really like your use of words but am less keen on your rhyme scheme (for the first poem). There - compliment coupled with constructive criticism so it seems sincere

Are you saying that none of the others poems that were entered showed talent?
Bah! I can't keep track of what it is I'm insinuating, at the best of times. Simply put, her composition seemed to resonate with that sublime mysticism which transfixes me from the off; notwithstanding the presence of a genuine and palpable subtext. I do so enjoy focusing my mind between the lines, and drawing my own conclusions, rather than having everything laid out before me on a platter; or, if not, finding myself nonetheless confronted by the same generic, re-hashed, half-baked, cod-symbolism that is the preserve of oh-so many capable amateurs these days. It's serviceable; it warrants merit, yes; but it nevertheless rings hollow in the cathedral of my mind. It neither captivates, nor inspires me; which is, when all's said and done, the prime differentiating factor, so far as I'm concerned.

Maybe if enough of us campaign for it to be made into a proper forum, it will be.

Ok, since it might be unfair just to use my judgement for choosing the winner, half of the decision will be yours. I will; put up a poll and you will be able to choose your favourite poem.

The poem with the most votes will get 10 points, the poem with 2nd most will get 9 points, all the way down to the poem with the least votes 1 point. I will then put the poems in a list, 1 to 10 and give them points accordingly.
