Hey, has anyone decided on accommodation yet? I'm unsure as to which one is best in terms of maintenance and proximity to the Strand

Hey, I went for Great Dover Street and I'm also at the Strand Campus! I wanted Stamford Street originally but it filled up quite fast, and honestly now I'm really happy with my choice. It has great facilities, not too expensive and is super accessible by tube and walking!

Is it completely unavailable then?? Im still waiting for my UCL offer but I'm planing on firming KCL and applying for Stamford street apartments? I really wanted to go to this one bc it has ensuite KAAS and accessible rooms!

Firmed KCL and tried to book Stamford Street earlier but it’s full. No availability at Dover St or Hayloft so I just booked Julian Markham. Does anyone know if more rooms will open up in the other places? Tbh, I’m quite excited about Julian Markham but fancied living walking distance to the Strand Campus if possible.

KCL said that accom rooms are released in waves, does anyone know if this is true or is it likely that residences like GDS and wolfson house are completely full by now?

Hey
Are there any specific accoms for under 18 students?

don’t worry i don’t think it’s completely full! i had the same worry last night as i had booked accom in julian markham when i wanted GDS, i managed to get GDS today i just kept logging in to check if there were anymore available spaces. just keep checking every hour if you can and hopefully you’ll find a space for ur accom you want

Okay thanks! Good for you getting GDS! Can I ask if you know roughly what time new rooms are released? Or just check every hr? Were there a lot of GDS rooms when you saw it today?

Am I able have a room booked and still be able to look for a different one? If I do that and then find one I’d prefer how would I change the room booked?

thanks i was so happy my teacher had to come over and see why i was celebrating 😭. apparently it refreshes at 11am and 6pm so i suggest checking around those times. i logged in at 11:55 and there was one space for GDS left so i grabbed it asap. good luck!

do you mean the £450 prepayment rent? if so then yes you just pay it when you book the first room and if you want to change, you don’t have to pay it again

Hi everyone, I firmed KCL exactly a week ago today and logged into the accommodation portal last Friday does anyone know when I'm likely to be able to book a room as I'm really worried that all my top choices will be gone as I need KAAS and I haven't heard anything back yet!

Probably not, very little places are left there so you probably don’t have a choice in general with most places

I want to change the room.

Why I cannot see the change rooms button, only see the cancel button. (I registered and booked the room yesterday)

thank you so much

Gdsa definitely does (you all get placed in a certain block), I think SSA does too but I don’t live there so not 100%
