I'm doing Atonement, Brighton Rock and The Rime of The Ancient Mariner if anyone has any predictions? I am desperately praying for Section B to be on either Briony or criminal motive for Atonement as I actively refuse to write about either Brighton Rock or The Rime of the Ancient Mariner for that question.

guys how do u achieve perceptiveness to go into the higher bands?

Reply 23

anyone have any tips for the unseen section esp how to plan and structure it? or predictions if it’ll be prose/drama/poetry etc, fingers crossed for something not too strange!

Reply 24

i do hamlet, atonement, browning crabbe and wilde. the questions were for part b “cecilia is an innocent victim” and “of all crimes, it is claudius killing the king that is most shocking” and then section c was either “cruelty, mental or physical, is an essential element in crime fiction“ or “explore significance of death”

Anybody doing the Poetry anthology, 'When Will There Be Good News?' and Brighton Rock?

I'm doing the first two, but instead of Brighton Rock, I am doing the Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

How are we feeling?

Reply 27

These haven’t come up in past years

Possible Section B
Poetry: women, justice, setting, suffering
Atonement: Briony, Robbie, setting, justice, victims (Lola, Robbie, war), structure (beginnings, endings etc)

Possible Section C
Victims, restoration of order, endings/conclusions, setting, punishment

Has anyone else got any predictions?
