Hi I'm a final year undergraduate, studying Arabic and International Relations. I really enjoyed my course at SOAS because it enabled me to study IR from a non-Western lens, delving into the IR of different regions of the world including the Middle East, where I studied the rise of Pan-Arabism, regional geopolitics, Palestine/Israel, International Institutions and International Conflicts, Rights and Justice. The professors are really passionate and each week bring insights from their research and contemporary news affairs to give a holistic view of the course and in seminars, we get the chance to critique different perspectives and form our own opinions. The exams are mostly essay based and the professors provide a lot of support in their office hours, answering queries and supporting with essay plans. Hope this helps!
