I did mine in tax last week in the London Canary Wharf Office. It was pretty good, there was both an individual and group task. I would say to definitely ask as much questions to them to show you’re interested, as well as be open to network with everyone else that’s there. In the group activity, make sure to be inclusive of your group while also making your own thoughts known and clear. Good luck.

hi, what did the individual activities have? did they do a retest for the psychometrics?

Hi, Does anyone have an assessment centre coming up for the Law Graduate Scheme?

I've been invited to book, but still shows as no slots available - how was yours?

I literally just finished it - It was okay. Not as bad as I thought it would be

No need to prep numerically! Taking into consideration it may vary programme to programme and I applied to the Law programme. Everyone at the AC either applied for the Law Grad programme or internship.

Hi!
Mine was a couple weeks ago so I'll try my best to remember. Here's the information I do know:

We were split into groups and breakout rooms. There were about 10 groups in total, with maybe 4/5 per group with two assessors in the room

Within the group task, we were each assigned a part of the case study/material to read

We then each had to make notes and suggestions based on our individual material that we read and summarise the information to the entire group

We had to make notes on each other's summaries and ask questions. The task was to decide which policy/initiative EY should implement (based on ESG)

Once we decided on which initiative EY should go ahead with, we had to come up with ways they could encourage this through the practice so how the employees could practice the initiative as well as their clients

This was definitely very innovative. You can be as creative as you like; just make sure you provide a reason why you think your suggestion would work.

Be flexible and quick to think about how you can adapt as this is part of it, make sure your group stay on time

After that half of the session, I had a lunch break, and then I came back for a trainee Q&A. You never really know if these are assessed; I can't quite remember if mine was. I would definitely pre-prepare questions to ask based on EY's values, their current projects/motivations, and what's going on in the business world. They don't really have to be super challenging, though - you can save those for the final interview.
After the Q&A, we were all sent a forms link in the teams chatbox, which was kind of assessing how we thought the day went and how we thought we performed. The questions that were asked were similar to:

1.

What went well in the group task today

2.

In what ways were you a leader in the group task

3.

Was there anything you thought you could change or do better

4.

Was there anything that interested you in particular from the material you read/group task

These questions aren't trying to catch you out, it's all how you describe your perspective on the performance of your group. Definitely be detailed, but don't be a storyteller; you can be really confident and honest in your writing. These questions are pretty much assessing your viewpoint on working within a team as both a leader and team player. Don't play too heavily on the leader role. I did have to make some stuff up, but you can be honest about where you took the initiative, suggested ideas, provoked conversations, etc. That definitely counts as being a leader!
I hope this helps. Good luck!

Hi! I have an AC scheduled for this Friday, and I wanted to clarify something. Are the materials provided for the group and independent exercises the same ones we'll be working with on the actual day, or are they just examples to give us a sense of what to expect?
