Make sure to use an extended metaphor
Simile (a few of these are good though) , one line paragraph, alliteration or sibilance, vivid imagery and rhetorical question. If you can try to link the opening sentence to the last sentence and vary your sentence length and punctuation constantly. x

Do a story because then you could write the story how you would like to read it. The one in my January mock was a zoo and it was describe the zoo or write a story.I think it is better to write a story but that's just my view.

Personally I do the desciption because I can never think of a narrative but it depends on what you prefer or find easier

Story 100%

i always do the description because im more of an visual person so if i see something ideas will just come flowing in and just describe what i see

I do a story but use the picture to prompt my story line so often do an in depth description of the image within the story. Also if you do a story you are into me at to write the opening of a story so like the first chapter or so

If you do the picture, can you not put action in it? Like I'll focus more on the description but I'll put some action in so that I can change the focus of what I'm describing, fairly sure the examiner won't mind?

Yeah that’s what I do but tu either way around with doing a sorry but using the image within the story! That’ll be absolutely fine! At the end of the day the image and idea are only to help prompt an idea and you don’t really need to stick to it in any sense really

My teacher said it’s a good idea to combine both 🤷*♀️

same I always run out of time

My teacher has told us to do Q1, Q3, Q2, Q4, Q5 as Q2 is annoyingly weird to get marks on since you can write so much on it, do she tells us to skip it and do it after Q3 so that way we can just simplify it down. It really helps with timings in my opinion! But it is just about finding a structure that works for you, good luck by the way!! Don't stress 🤗

whats an extended metaphor

it's where you use a metaphor and keep it going throughout your writing. Like idk saying the cars are insects, then saying they "crawl" on the roads and "scuttle" around the buildings (that's a really bad example sorry) but you basically keep referring to something as something else throughout your writing piece. does that kind of make sense?
