Anyone got any plans to tackle this paper? Not sure if the questions will be much better for this paper, and I think a lot of people agree this is the hardest of the three.

id say this is the easiest of the three. Although there is a lot more content, usually the questions on the paper are much more simpler and are easy to undersdtand unlike paper 1

I’m praying we’ll get a good paper after that paper yesterday, I just need a B 🙏

Don’t think it’ll be as hard but I don’t think it’ll be easy either. Possibly an advantage and disadvantage question of one of the scans over the over or something. Sounds like something they’d do.

Id rather sit paper 1 again than do electromagnetism questions

Does anyone know if there is a set definition for resistivity?

From the OCR textbook glossary
Resistivity: a property of a material, measured in Ωm, defined as the product of the resistance of a component made of the material and its cross-sectional area divided by its length

Lifesaver, thank you!

Going back through past papers and using physics and maths tutor’s notes on each topic to check I have all the relevant knowledge. As rtp00 said, there’s not been much magnetism in previous years so perhaps make that a priority if it is a weak point?

so everyones predicting magnetism will be a huge topic this year?

I’d say so. My assumption is that they’re running out of content hence the large amount of medical last year and if they follow that trend it should be magnetism this year.

yeh, im thinking the same, obviously that doesn't mean focus solely on magnetism tho, wondering if paper 2 is gonna be like paper 1 in the sense that it only really focused on 2 topics, astrophysics and gravitational fields💀

so... what else hasn't been asked or has mostly been seen in multiple choice?

Capacitors are probably going to come up in some regard but it wouldn't surprise me if that was as a difficult paper 3 question. I'd still prepare for them as well though.
