Student Accommodation.

Hello, I am from Birmingham and I will be attending Coventry University. Am I able to book for accommodation if UCAS says staying at home on my application? Due to my current home environment it will be best for me to look into accommodation due to the long distance of travelling everyday to Coventry. Do I have to let student finance know or am I able to apply for it through student finance.
