absolutely COOKED on the social sensitivity Q, but "explain how Orla could investigate the effectiveness of a non-bio treatment"??????? ABSOLUTELY not!!! Was frustrated by the memon+higham... id say the rest was standard though?

wait yo guys what do you mean about the 15 marker about sampling bias? was that for criminal or for like a different topic?

it was for sport psychology (personality topic)

Yeah so that wasn't good. Child section B was eh I just struggled with identifying how it wasn't scientific, section C was awfully worded because it said to link to the brain development specifically so I rambled on about informing students of their proneness to risk taking behaviour and how since they're sensitive to rewards, they'll be susceptible to operant conditioning.
Criminal section B was certainly something!! Idk what they wanted from me

Oh did section c actually say to link to the brain structure specifically cos I wrote about adolescences speeding and the graduated driving program

alright good cause like I got absolutely flipping nervous as flip because I was like; "what the sigma, where was the sampling bias" but since ninjakraken stated that "it was for sport psychology (personality topic)" I am now at bliss

how many paragraphs did you guys do for 15 marker?
and what did you write about
(criminal and sport)

and what did you guys write about for the Orla mental health "how will you investigate effectiveness of this approach" ? cos i wrote about her conducting an experiment.
that question was a wild card like why are we going back to research methods ??

I said she should recruit 20 ppts with an array of phobias (i used systematic desensitisation) and that they should be given a questionnaire asking ppts to rate the severity of their disorder on a scale of 1-10 then they would go through a 6 week systematic desensitisation treatment and be given the same questionnaire again. If their second rating was lower than their initial one then that proves the treatment is effective

i had no idea for the orla thing i structured it as 2 pecs so i did systematic desensitisation for my treatment then said she could do a case study and treat one student using SD, compare the ratings of fear before/after treatment and then for 2nd point i talked about how she could conduct research into previous studies on SD and used McGrath's study as detail

everyone just wrote about using systematic desensitisation and just said about mcgraph and lucy but without naming her because the findings on the fear thermometer show if it was effective if there was a decrease on what the patient rated their phobias out of 10

i thoight about lucy and mcgrath so i said i would use a fear thermometer to measure the level of fear.
i didnt actually mention lucy and mcgrath because i dont think its relevant to back up your experiment ? and its 6 marks so i think describing the procedure would be enough. but either way it can help and i was also time constraint so didnt have enough time to write everything i thought

Ye that should be all good, none of us mentioned mcgraph or lucy either just described what mcraph did but in relevance to Orla and the question

I said experiment and i said she should show its effective by comparing systematic desensitisation to the flooding technique and how she could collect her participants who all have phobias and split them in to both groups and then they would rate on a scale on how fearful of the situation they felt after the procedure
