how likely is it that distant and local place come up again since the 4 and 20 markers last year were on it

tbh the place studies cover pretty much all parts of the spec for changing places so it’s best to make sure you’re revised for them as they’d be really useful even if the question didn’t directly ask for them

looking at the spec this is everything they could ask us in a 6 marker
not worried about central tendency, iqr etc
but standard deviation, spearmans and chi-squared :frown:

Nope you don't need to remember the formulas because they will give them to you. You just need to know how to use them

it would be good to know about the places cultural, demographic, economic characteristics and any social inequality, you could use datashine and the 2011 census to get some data, also a bit about the history of the place and how’s it’s changed over time, and also how it’s represented like in photos, painting and online reviews

My least favourite topic is global governance - I find it so boring. I guess for population and the environment I would want agriculture to come up and changing places something related to local and distant places.

Only for 4 markers and one question 9 marker that asked about the clean air act and Mexican smog last year (I think)

Genuinely for globalisation I’m hoping for the contrasting impacts of TNCs on the host and source country , for changing places I want rebranding , economic inequality and lived experience for contemporary urban environments im hoping for postmodern cities or new urban landscapes

Could be literally pros vs cons of globalisation which would be fab. Could also be about the UN pros and cons or pros and cons of a TNC. My teacher thinks they might ask about unequal power relations (USA) but tbh they could form a 20m out of literally any of the case studies
