Is belief in Gods existence sufficient to put ones trust in him?
Is faith sufficient reason for belief in Gods existence?
someone plz help me w points for these essays for knowledge of God

St Paul defines faith as 'trust' in things not seen. So putting one's 'trust' in God = having full Christian faith - not merely believing that a God exists. (H H Price calls it 'belief-in' God, vs mere 'belief-that' a God exists).

Aquinas & Calvin argue that belief-that a God exists can be gained by natural theology. However they both think that is not enough for full Christian faith - which requires faith in the bible, to learn the details about God, trinity, Jesus' sacrifice & resurrection etc.

Barth thinks that natural theology has nothing going for it at all, can't even be relied on to tell us that a God exists. He thinks we should only rely on faith. Whereas, Aquinas thinks reason can support faith.

They would all think faith is sufficient - but Aquinas thinks reason can support faith which will make faith more secure.

does anyone have an essay plan for 'to what extent is secularisation an opportunity for christianity to develop new ways of thinking and acting'?

Anti-theists Dawkins & Freud - you could interpret as saying yes - since religion needs to learn & grow in their view - or you could interpret them as saying no - because they actually want to get rid of religion.

Traditional religious thinkers (JP2, Ratzinger, etc) argue that religion contains moral truth and guidance - so the world should be learning from it, not the other way around.

McGrath says Dawkins' critiques are fair against fundamentalists - so that's helpful opportunity for learning and growth, but ultimately says Dawkins goes too far trying to apply his criticisms to all of religion & religious people.
