The fact that 90% of the questions were calculation was just freaking amazing. Also what did u guys write for that awful UV banknote question

I said that background radiation is constant low level radiation around us so to simply put gm counter on and the count rate shown is background radiation but to make sure to put all other sources of radiation in a lead lined box so it does not affect what the gm tube shows:smile:

Would you get a mark for putting the atomic number of a beta particle as zero? I always thought it was the number of protons. But it looks like it’s actually -1.

I was kinda wrong cos i didnt clock that momentum before was 0 kg m/s but i wrote since they have same mass and velocity they must have had same monentum collision and that they would exert equal and opposite forces on each other which meant their momentums kinda cancelled out cos one is negative one is positive because so is zero then after collusion since they stop moving velocity is 0 so mass x velocity would be 0 as well so momentum after is also zero then for energy i just waffled and said kinetic energy transfers to thermal energy stores of trolleys and surroundings
