I would revise EVERYTHING, but a few main things here to guide your revision:
- Spanish Armada, 1588 (causes and reasons for failure)
- education and leisure change and continuity (maybe if you want some golden nuggets of knowledge)
- Mary Queen of Scots
- Puritan/Catholic challenge to Elizabeth and the Catholic plots (revolt of the northern earls, ridolfi, throckmorton and babbington)
- challenges facing Elizabeth on the throne in 1558 (marriage, legitimacy, religion)

Same. For history, just revise EVERYTHING. If you aren’t going to revise something, don’t revise what came up last year. But it’s still a risk.

Any predictions for superpower relations and cold war?

Prague Spring
Cuban Missile Crisis
Conferences (Tehran, Yalta, Potsdam)
Hungarian Uprising
International reaction to Hungary and Czechoslovakia events
Berlin Ultimatum (leading up to the creation of the Berlin Wall)

There’s so much that might come up. So revise everything to be sure. Other than what came up last year if you want to take that risk.

And whenever you’re thinking about superpower relations and the Cold War, think: CONSEQUENCES (and causes for narrative account)
And:
TENSION AND RIVALRY
For the ‘explain the importance of x to y’ question, you can normally write 2 paragraphs about how (1) tensions and (2) rivalry increased/decreases

everyone can talk here for their GCSE history superpowers and Elizabeth paper

will the problem on the poor and poor relief definitely not be on the exam since it was on last year??

I'd love to hear how everyone is feeling about these topics and what strategies you're using to revise. Personally, I've found it really beneficial to write practice essays - it gives great insights into how to structure answers effectively and pinpoint where you can improve. How is everyone else managing their studies? Any particular areas you're confident in or perhaps struggling with? Let’s help each other out and ace these papers!
