I'd love to hear how everyone is feeling about these topics and what strategies you're using to revise. Personally, I've found it really beneficial to write practice essays - it gives great insights into how to structure answers effectively and pinpoint where you can improve. How is everyone else managing their studies? Any particular areas you're confident in or perhaps struggling with? Let’s help each other out and ace these papers!

im doing superpowers and henry viii, personally i find blurting the best method for me, and once i have memorised as much as i can, i get one of my siblings to test me with the revision booklets and see what details i left out!! Then i look at past papers and come up with predictions and answer those questions!!

Hello everyone! I'm gearing up for the Edexcel GCSE History Paper 2 on June 4th, tackling both the British depth study and period study. I'm aiming for high marks and feel pretty solid about the period study but find the depth study details a bit tricky. I've been using a mix of revision guides and online resources to refine my essay skills—really helps with the analysis and argument structure. How is everyone else doing? Any particular areas you're finding tough or any revision strategies that are working well for you? Let's support each other and nail this exam! Best of luck! :yy:

What online resources do you use?

Does anyone know the grade boundaries for history, like a rough guesstimate? I know they weight the papers and it depends on what you do, but everytime i look at the grade boundaries, there's just so many, i wouldn't mind like a rough percentage guess for every grade if someone has one. Thanks!!!!!!

I would revise EVERYTHING, but a few main things here to guide your revision:
- Spanish Armada, 1588 (causes and reasons for failure)
- education and leisure change and continuity (maybe if you want some golden nuggets of knowledge)
- Mary Queen of Scots
- Puritan/Catholic challenge to Elizabeth and the Catholic plots (revolt of the northern earls, ridolfi, throckmorton and babbington)
- challenges facing Elizabeth on the throne in 1558 (marriage, legitimacy, religion)

Those are the easy ones tho? And they have already come up, do you think they will give us more obscure questions ls or no for Elizabeth.

Is it possible that anyone has an online copy of the Edexcel revision guide of Elizabeth, that they can send me or even pictures. I just need pages 20 to like 40

Can anyone send me photos of Elizabeth revision guide pages 20-40 or if they can share an online copy with me.

No obscure ones because it has to be open to everyone and based off the spec. The furthest they could go is probably about considering my whether it was a golden age or not. Here you could talk about exploration (Drake, Raleigh) and the Armada victory in 1588, and then counter this by discussing the poor and how they still suffered (vagabonds were executed, women didn’t go to school, etc), despite measures to try and help them (Vagabonds Act in 1572, Act for the Relief of the Poor in 1576)
