Hihii just wanted to ask. Question about Elizabethan
Basically I chose 16 marker of Catholic challenge being a greater threat to settlement But it said within the maximum 1568 but I mentioned slightly the revolt of northern earls and there beginning to be a rise of challenge trying to restore Catholicism, it was only a small part of my argument, will I get penalised for it ? ( as it was slightly out of the time period )

no they'll just imagine you didn't write it, positive marking only!

they'll just imagine any sentence you used that in didn't exist but they don't mark too harshly, positive marking only!

I would revise EVERYTHING, but a few main things here to guide your revision:
- Spanish Armada, 1588 (causes and reasons for failure)
- education and leisure change and continuity (maybe if you want some golden nuggets of knowledge)
- Mary Queen of Scots
- Puritan/Catholic challenge to Elizabeth and the Catholic plots (revolt of the northern earls, ridolfi, throckmorton and babbington)
- challenges facing Elizabeth on the throne in 1558 (marriage, legitimacy, religion)

sighsssss

Prague spring - consequences
End of Cold War - narrative account
Yalta - importance
Berlin ultimatum - importance
Not sure last importance one sorry

Last importance was Salt 1 for better relations

What if I said ultimatum but I described the doctrine in one sentence

For Anglo-Saxons
What did people think of the 16 marker about Robert?
I did the other one because I knew a few things about Robert but not enough for a 16 marker.

my points were:

-Wolsey's successful foreign policies e.g. Treaty of London 1518, Treaty of Bruges 1521
-Wolsey achieved military victories e.g. Battle of spurs 1513 - captures Therouanne and Tournai
-Wolsey's skills, experience and important roles e.g. getting degree at age 15, college's treasurer, papal legate in 1518.

i did his personality, treaty of london and i said he organised the battle of the spurs (i said 1515 not 1513 though, will i lose a mark?) and he was lord chancellor and cardinal

I wrote about Khruschev rather than Brezhnev, will I lose marks?

You won't get zero, but for top band, detailed accurate historical content is needed. Your answer should still score well overall

I did the Berlin Wall fell in 1990 not 1989 will I still get marks

Reply 95

me too. i did a paragraph on how Wolsey had a high religious status - being Royal Almoner, Papal legate, Archbishop of Canterbury etc.

It was to do with the narrative account and end of the cold wall and I said that the policies of glasnost and perestroika made the people of Berlin have a taste of new found freedom of the suppression they felt under communism and so called Gorbachev to pull down the Berlin Wall which fell in 1990 but should have written 1989!

should be fine, they'll most likely just mark.

Yeah I wrote about glasnost and perestroika too, don’t worry you will defo get marks, at most depending on the examiner you may lose 1 mark.
