Yeah I wrote about glasnost and perestroika too, don’t worry you will defo get marks, at most depending on the examiner you may lose 1 mark.

Ah ok hopefully not too bad. Pray they just ignore the wrong date or don’t notice it 😂
Might have spelt glasnost wrong but their were no **** marks so should not drop a make because if that!

That was a GREAT paper (yay high grade boundaries smh)

Just my luck I spent the morning before revising Spanish Armada and why it failed. That 16 marker about Catholic resistance was really nasty though with the timeframe. I disagreed because, until the Papal Bull of Excommunication, Catholics didn't really oppose ALL THAT MUCH except refusing to go to Church and performing mass in the house with secret underground rooms which I mentioned in my agree statement.

Cold War was definitely harder but manageable. Hoping for a not impossible paper 3!

Me, I did not like the 16 marker about Robert (I chose the other one)

yh me to i did:
P1-Edgar aetheling ofc
P2-Harold godwinson
P3-william of normandy
overall i argued that harold had the strongest claim as he was elected by the wittan who ultimately had the final say. william had a weak bloodline connection to the throne through emma of normandy and the claim that harold had sworn allegiance to him during his embassy may be true but he was held captive so had no other option.Edgar aetheling had a weaker claim than harold as he was in his teens so could not perform the duties of a king such as defending and protecting the kingdom.

I did the same but I said William was the strongest due to Harold's embassy, it was a pretty nice 16 marker

No, you don’t get SPAG marks, as long as it looks roughly right and they can understand it

Don’t think so I think it was just paper 1 maybe 3 aswell

Yeah true, but I did kinda predict everyone, I’ve been ignoring other predictions ever since English Literature Paper 1 when AQA threw us an oddball that nobody predicted

Omg thats what I said, I was just about to include the Revolt of the Northern Earls until I saw the time frame- it really was nasty. I mainly talked about the Puritan challenges and then said that the catholics challenged later

Why Norman's built castles

ohh yhhh that was ok ngl
P1-Rewarding followers by making them earls of marcher earldoms meaning that they could build castles wherever
P2-william's need to defeat rebellion to maintain power as seen in the revlt of edwin and morcar in 1068 where Nottingham castle ended the rebellion
P3-William needs them to defeat invaders and deter invaders such as the welsh as seen inn 1067 and 1068 where bleddyn and rhiwallon couldnt pass to aid edwin and morcar due to the castle at hereford

The Elizabeth 16 marker was kinda mid just me? I picked the Raleigh one, did anyone else? 😅

Yeah I didn’t like either of them but I did the 1st one about the religious settlement. I think the grade boundaries might be a bit lower because of these questions.

1= Kings at the top of the hierchy, they were chosen by God

2= Peasants were towards the bottom of the hierchy (feudal system), they only worked for one lord
