I do! I feel like its gonna be on Thatcher and Britain's role in the world, not sure which specific ones tho, and for sources it could be Churchill as a wartime leader

Thatcher came up every year from 2022-2018, surely at one point they are going to ask a different theme e.g64-79?

No they ask the same thing every year mate. Silly really. Last year the 20 marker was ‘Assess the reasons why Geoff supports the hammers’ so really could be anything.

Fair. The only thing to predict is Churchill and that it’s unlikely to be on 1930s

Does anyone have any early tudor predictions??

OCR skipped thatcher last year (2023) they asked about the following:

Heath as PM & Tory Leader (- not sure if this is the exact wording but yeah) - labour and conservative governments
1951 Election - conservative domination

So it is very likely that they will ask about Thatcher so revise it in detail! I would go through each of the question papers and see what they have asked. If they have asked about a topic before, still revise it but do not overly focus on it, such as the 1951 election. They have also never asked a question about the Labour victory in 1964 for the new spec. They also repeated some questions in terms of factors ie the 1997 election. Look at the spec and you will see some more insights and trends.

in a nutshell: Going through the old question papers, looking at the specifications, and revising what they have not asked.

OCR never asks the same question twice just so you know

June 2017
‘Divisions within the Conservative party were the main reason for their defeat in 1997.’ How far do you agree?
June 2018
‘The Labour governments of 1964–1970 and 1974–1979 failed to solve the problems they faced.’ How far do you agree?
June 2019
Assess the reasons why the Conservatives won the 1970 election.
‘The Thatcher governments were responsible for an economic revolution.’ How far do you agree?
November 2020
Assess the reasons why government relations with the unions were so poor in the period from 1964 to 1979.
To what extent was there a social revolution under Thatcher?
November 2021
How successful were conservative economic policies during the period from 1951 to 1964?
Assess the reasons why Thatcher won the 1979 election?
June 2022
Assess the seriousness of the problems facing the Labour governments of 1974–1979?
‘Scandal and sleaze were the most important reasons for the defeat of Major in 1997.’ How far do you agree?
June 2023
Asess the reasons why the Conservatives won the 1951 election?
How successful was Edward Heath as Prime Minister and Leader of the Conservative Party? - not sure if this is the exact wording but yeah

I wouldn’t bank on OCR never asking the same Q twice,, in the first paper i sat they reused a past question word for word ..

anyone got predictions for later tudors ??

for the mid tudors 30 marker the only topic they've never done is Mary & unrest but no guarantee it will be that

No idea for the Elizabeth essays but they do like religion ones and later years (I think either last year or 2022 was 2x socioeconomic so probably not that)

My teacher told us that this year's as paper had both essay questions on Henry viii, and the source questions on unrest in 1549. She advised us to prepare for both questions to be on either Henry, and also that they put a lot of dates in the questions, so knowing your dates would help too. I find OCR history papers really hard to predict cause they don't follow much of a pattern

Thank you very much, a 64 question would be very nice. I really hope Thatcher doesn't come up but will prepare nonetheless
