I hope something to do with culture, like sati and thagi - last time there was an India source it was on the causes of the rebellion I believe

changing geography is tough!

Is it worth only learning one of the breadth topics because they give a choice every year. I am doing Germany and it is way too much to remember with all the econ stuff

Reply 49

Does anyone remember last year's british experience of warfare depth questions? I remember the source and the breadth but I've already forgotten what the other two were in my mock

Hello everyone! I’m preparing for the Edexcel A Level History Paper 3 on June 11th. I have a mix of anticipation and nerves, especially for the depth aspects, which require such detailed knowledge. One of my favorite topics is the economic transformation in the 20th century—it’s complex but fascinating. For revision, I highly recommend using resources to get feedback on essay practice, which can be crucial for refining your arguments and structure. How is everyone else feeling? Any topics you're particularly confident about or finding challenging? Let’s share our tips and support each other. Best of luck to all!

The breadth themes for paper 3, is there always a choice in question between themes 1 and 2 or is there a chance they could give two questions that cover theme 2 alone? I do the witchcraze and absolutely hate the coming age of science (theme 2) but i could definitely cope with just changing attitudes (theme 1). Just curious if it's safe to focus on only theme 1? The examiners reports all say that very few people ever choose the theme 2 choice so I doubt they would force us to do it but I wanted to check. Thanks
i also do witch craze - our teacher told us that we could definitely do selective revision for the breadth study but i think that was mainly due to how late we ended up getting onto it (we only finished the science topic in our last lesson before study leave lol) - i am far more focused on theme 1 but i'm definitely gonna spend some time looking over theme 2 before the exam just in case...
