Guys ive got 9s for my compositions and performances but my mock paper got marked at a grade5 bringing me down to 6. Any tips / advice?

Well i didnt really revise so it was mostly recognition of music. Like whats actually happening but ive sorted that out. I just cant figure out keys or sheet music

To get the marks for the sheet music questions you only have to get the shape of the notes correct, not the exact notes. Also for keys I think most of the time it is just figuring out whether it is major or minor which may be a good place to start.

I thought the first world music one was Palestinian- it sounded Indian but there was no drone or anything

Yeah, palestinian (oud and doumbek and the shebbabeh - I didn't know that one, just put 'flute')
