Edexcel GCSE Physics Paper 1 Higher (1PH0/1H) - 22nd May 2024 [Exam Chat]

Newtons laws - they tend to pick on these either specifically or just needing them to back up any points for random 2-3 markers

•

Distance/Time and Velocity/Time graphs, i think these may come up as they can get confusing if you forget which is which

•

Stores and transfers - i know this is kinda generic but they often have the most random questions and make you explain how the energy has been transferred, e.g. a potato in a microwave

•

Lenses - the lense and ray diagrams i think will come up

•

Longitudinal/Transverse waves - describing the differences with examples as a potential 3-4 mark

•

6 marker describing the diff betweeen Alpha,Gamma and Beta radiation maybe, it seems like the main one that they would go for and also can be hard to remember them all

•

6 marker Nuclear fusion/fission, they may have done this last year but might repeat it as either a smaller or larger question.

•

Half life, using a graph maybe ??

•

formation of the universe witht the different theories as this often come up in the exams

•

maybe a 6 marker on lifecyle of stars as its popular with edexel
