How does accepting/rejecting an offer on UCAS work?

Hi!

I had a question about results day. if I get my firm choice and for some reason I want to drop out of uni all together, how would I do this? would I call the uni and tell them that I am dropping out? would I get charged for 1st year uni? just a bit confused, thank you!!!
I did something similar. I just went into clearing by rejecting my choice then never picked up another. I'd call your university though just in case.

You can decline your place on UCAS Hub.
It is of course good manners to also email that University especially of you intend to reapply.

Be aware that although you are not liable for Uni fees until you actually enrol, there may be a cancelation fee for accommodation, though many Unis will waive this if you tell the Accom office quickly.
