Special Support Loan - what am I likely to get?

For some reason the details on this are incredibly scarce which is bizarre for funding for people with additionally difficult circumstances. I'm expecting a maximum maintenance loan of £13,348. I definitely meet the criteria for the Special Support Loan but there's no information on how much you'll get anywhere. Advice appreciated.

Where specifically in this calculator is the amount of Special Support Loan displayed? In as much detail as possible please as I cannot see it.

Hi there. I have checked our gov.uk site and the amounts are not listed here, this is something I can feed back on. For your own information, the most amount of the loan that can be made up of the Special Support Loan amount is £4327. Thanks, David

Does this mean that you can get £4327 on top of the current £13348 maintenance loan for a total of around £18000? And if so would this entire amount need to be repaid?

Hi there, The Special Support loan does not always increase the Maintenance Loan amount, but can reduce the amount of Maintenance Loan taken into account when any benefits are reviewed by the Department of Work and Pensions. Thanks, Angela
