no it isn't.

i recommend you know your gcse stuff. keep your gcse notes for it. then you can buy a textbook, or look at ones online. watch a few miss estruch videos, and other biology teachers. its good but the stuff may be more difficult as you haven't been taught. so yes you should start doing it if you want an easy time in biology as getting to know some/most of it is good

thank you! i figured that since im in the habit of revising at the moment i shouldn’t completely abandon it over summer, especially when im going to need to be more dedicated for a levels! that’s super validating bc i’ve been thinking about it a lot recently, but i have to get that gcse biology grade up first lol

exactly. if I am honest, it would make things a lot easier. depending on how you are rn. once you have done your exams, re look at the gcse content and then go forward. you have to focus now of course. but if you start know, like not buckets but lets say 30mins to an hour in the summer, you will have a good chance if not 100% to get the a star in it.

you could start off early and it would give you a head start but I don’t think you’d need it, it’s pretty easy I suppose as long as you understand the content and remember all the important definitions
